How can one combine nutritional consultation with knowledge transfer and sustainable development? Easy. Show farmers how to build beehives. Their families will consume honey. They have the possibility to sell something. And they will tell their neighbours.

Hello - My name is David Bellard, I am the creative director at Rare, a conservation organization located in Washington DC. We are currently launching projects in the Andes that deal with watershed agreeements between upstream and downstream farmers, which include the use of bee boxes as payment for not cutting forest. We would very much love to use your photos of the community building these bee boxes in some of our collateral. You would be credited of course and will get copies of all collateral.
