Education
The school system program takes care of schoolchildren, teachers and the parents. In close collaboration with the locals, existing school buildings are improved and new school buildings are constructed. O.S.C.A.R. puts emphasis on getting the parents involved, so they take care the schools are working effectively. So far, 52 schools have been constructed, as well as 88 apartments for teachers.
Working against the major deficiency of the current school system, teachers are trained in the project camp in cooperation with the university of La Paz. The organisation also provides further training for teachers during. This part of the project is very young but already, over 70 teachers have been trained professionally. The reason this is very useful is, that most teachers in the lowlands are originally from the better-educated highlands. They are not familiar with the problems of life in the jungle. The trainings in the camp allow them to understand these problems and therefore the children better.

Adults that did not have the possibility to attend a school as a child can catch up with the program CETHA, that allows them to pass a secondary school examination.
